Not an easy road.
Life as a Christian can be wonderful. Especially when we take a look at the blessings of the Lord and the things he’s brought us through.
But there’s a next side to it that gets many persons discouraged. Its the continuous attacks from the enemy and the barrage of tribulations we face.
It is Buju Banton who sang, “It’s not an easy road. And many see the glamour and the glitter so them think a bed of rose, mi say. Who feels it knows, oooh. Lord help me sustain these blows.”
If you’ve felt it, you know I speak the truth. Some times, it’s the fact that we know that God has been good to us that keeps us “saved”. Some times, all we want to do is give up because it’s just too much, but the love of God has us sticking around.
Be encouraged. “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Matthew 7:13-14 ESV
You’re on the right path. And God was so kind to let Jesus speak this word of direction to us. It’s a narrow, lonely, and difficult road but it’s the right way. Thank God for divine reminders like these.
